Get excited for our March DDG Members’ event! “Fighting and Falling – stage combat and physicality” workshop!
WHAT:
Fighting is fun! This workshop is designed to give participants an experience in the principles of stage combat and working physically with another actor. Participants will also explore key aspects of ensemble work.
WHO:
The workshop facilitator is James Cuningham, Founder of Fresco Formation. James was trained by Jacques Lecoq and has worked as an actor and director across 15 countries in more than 60 theatre, film and television productions. He has worked with Idris Elba, Enda Walsh and Sir Ian McKellen and won multiple awards and nominations internationally.
Fresh off his success at Short+Sweet Dubai 2024, James’ play “Lion Heart” won:

– Best Play (Judge’s Choice)
– Best Actor
– Best Play People’s Choice Runner Up
WHEN:
Wednesday 20th March, 7:30pm start. The workshop will last for one hour.

WEAR:
Comfortable, flexible clothes and shoes (e.g., gym, dance or sportswear; trainers). Avoid skirts, dresses, and belts.

PARTICIPANTS:
This workshop is FREE for all current DDG members. Please note that for this workshop, you need to be at least 16 years old.
