🎭 AUDITION NOTICE – Lungs by Duncan Macmillan Presented by Dubai Drama Group
We’re casting Lungs – a raw, intimate two-hander exploring love, climate change, and the existential anxieties of modern life. This fast-paced, emotionally charged play follows a couple grappling with the decision of whether or not to have a child.

Saturday 19th April 9am – 11:30am
🎭 Roles Available:
- W (Woman) – Playing age 20s–40s. Intelligent, passionate, overthinks everything. Emotionally raw and deeply expressive.
- M (Man) – Playing age 20s–40s. Honest, emotionally layered, vulnerable, and quietly grounded.
🗓 Rehearsal Commitment:
- Rehearsals begin ASAP, three times per week (evenings and weekends).
- Performances are in June, but due to venue availability, we need the cast to be Dubai-based for the rest of the year.
🎯 We’re Looking For:
- Two emotionally intelligent performers with strong onstage chemistry.
- Open to all ethnicities and backgrounds.
- Open to new and established actors alike – if you’re passionate about storytelling and up for a creative challenge, we want to hear from you.
🎬 How to Audition:
- Prepare a 1–2 minute contemporary monologue (non-comedic preferred).
- You may also be asked to read a short extract from the play on the day.
